I am new here...my son is 8 months and has an unbalanced translocation of 4p and 8p...I was wondering if anyone has used and found sucsess in non-traditional therapies such as:
Private Programs such as National Association of Child Dev (NACD)
Sensory Processing Program, STAR
Feldenchrist PT
Anat Baniel PT
Chiropractic Work (Nuero or Cranial Sacral)
Rythmic Movements Program
Infant Massage (Hellerwork?)
Have you found that "pushing" your child such as general PT has worked or the more gentle method of working with thier interests? What motivates them? What helped them learn that they can motor thier body? My son prefers his back, he does well in his wingbo but not so much on the ground which makes it hard to teach rolling. He is not wanting to keep his arms under him flat on the ground, hence no rolling. I feel if we can teach him movement, then we might excel more? He can stand against an ottoman for a mintue or so if placed...
Thank you for your advice. I feel like I am trying to explore all options out there and any other you may have tried...
May God Bless you all as you walk through this journey of hope!
