Our son Aadam is now 9 years old. He started having seizures about two years ago . We had the major ones with stays in hospitals and related problems. The Almighty got us thro them. Then mini seizures/ absences started and despite most medication we wre now having one every 1-3 minutes and most are 5-10 seconds long. Most of them are complete and immediate "switch off".......Aadam violently falls over as if the power has been switched off to his body. Some are gentle with the eye flickering. he has now stopped walking as a result. We walk him but he falls over and if is difficult to hold up. We are tried Kepra,clobozam and zonismaide . He is on all three morning and evening and now has been put onto a Ketogenic diet. Three mons later we are where we started.....absences every 1-3 minutes. We would like to hear from any dear friends who have shared in our experiences. Has anyone found alternative medicine? Has anyone ever stopped all medication in one day and if so how have coped and more appropriately how did your child cope.
